This role supports the full application product lifecycle for clinical and utilization management software, with a specific focus on driving key technical initiatives such as data integration, cloud migration, and the strategic integration of Artificial Intelligence. The Lead Technical Analyst leverages significant independent judgment and discretion to collaborate extensively with business stakeholders and technical teams.
They function as a pivotal bridge, translating high-level clinical and utilization management software business needs into detailed technical requirements for new capabilities and enhancements, encompassing data structures, platform configurations, and AI model integration points. This involves gathering project specifications, developing business cases, and conducting cost analysis where appropriate.
The Lead Technical Analyst analyzes complex data to identify business problems, trends, and opportunities for process improvements within clinical and utilization management software. They are responsible for creating and executing test plans, providing root cause analysis and corrective action plans for technical issues, and verifying the successful delivery of solutions that meet customer needs while ensuring quality. They proactively identify, document, and resolve risks, defects, and issues across the software's technical landscape.
Bringing market trends and competitive insights, particularly in data integration, cloud technologies, and AI, they articulate the business value of proposed clinical and utilization management software solutions. This individual acts as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) on the most complex, cross-functional projects related to clinical and utilization management software, often with potential regulatory risk exposure, customer service, and financial impacts.
As a primary customer contact, they may negotiate project requirements against available resources. They resolve the most complex technical issues, which often span multiple systems (including data sources, core platforms, and AI components), developing alternative solutions with a deep understanding of potential enterprise-wide impacts.
This role requires an expert-level understanding of end-to-end processes and potential integration issues as new clinical and utilization management software enhancements and applications are developed. The Lead Technical Analyst will possess an expert understanding of how changes within clinical and utilization management software impact interconnected enterprise systems, including considerations for regulatory risk, customer service, and financial implications. Furthermore, they will mentor Associate, Intermediate, and Senior Technical Analysts, sharing functional and organizational knowledge.
Their core technical domains include, but are not limited to, Data Integration strategies and platforms, application architecture and cloud migration methodologies, and AI/ML integration patterns.
