As Center Operations Director, you’ll oversee day-to-day operations for a primary care center, ensuring optimal performance, efficient scheduling, and a thriving team culture. You’ll directly supervise staff, partner with clinicians and care teams, and ensure patients receive seamless, high-quality care.


Key Responsibilities


  • Enhance Patient Experience: Implement best practices to improve satisfaction and respond to feedback effectively.
  • Optimize Scheduling: Maximize appointment slot utilization and maintain the right balance between availability and patient needs.
  • Improve Access: Ensure the team is available and responsive to reduce wait times and barriers to care.
  • Retention & Continuity: Monitor disenrollment trends, address root causes, and manage “orphan” patients without assigned providers.
  • Foster Culture & Engagement: Build a collaborative, engaged workplace where morale is high and turnover is low.
  • Workforce Planning: Ensure adequate staffing to meet operational and patient care demands.
  • Onboarding & Development: Lead onboarding for new staff and create retention strategies that promote career growth.
  • Operational Excellence: Oversee regulatory compliance, troubleshoot operational issues, and drive continuous improvement.


What You’ll Bring


  • Proven ability to build strong relationships with staff, patients, and community partners.
  • Data-driven decision-making skills, with the ability to analyze KPIs and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Strong leadership skills to engage, mentor, and develop team members.
  • Knowledge of healthcare operations, standards, and applicable regulations.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, organization, and attention to detail.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite; familiarity with other operations or reporting tools is a plus.


Education & Experience


  • Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Business Administration, Biological Sciences, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in a medical clinic, hospital, or similar healthcare setting.
  • 3+ years in a supervisory or management role within a regulated environment.
