Manager- Retail Operations & Authentics

Job Description

Responsible for overseeing the Brewers Team Store operations and Brewers Authentics at American Family Field. Provide leadership and communication to the stores team that results in maximizing the store profitability. Ensure that all processes and procedures for the retail department are being followed.

 

Core duties for this role include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee hiring and training efforts for fan facing retail positions
  • Develop strategies to achieve the retail department sales plan through business analysis, action, communication, and accountability
  • Oversee retail store operations and retail sales by embracing the CREW standards and setting achievable goals that will deliver an exceptional fan experience
  • Implement strategies to effectively manage team members and improve efficiency for the retail department
  • Ensure all policies and procedures are being met across all retail locations
  • Assist the Finance Department to resolve any out of balance cash/credit transactions and discrepancies
  • Oversee and manage payroll dollars for the store operations that is budgeted for the retail department. Analyze and communicate info to the Senior Director- Retail and Restaurant Operations
  • Develop relationships with other MLB teams to share best retail operation practices
  • Assist with making sure the social media accounts are attracting foot traffic to the stores on game days and non-game days
  • Manage and merchandise the product that is listed on MLB Auctions online and the authentic in the stores across the stadium.
  • Work closely with Authenticators to acquire game used items
  • Manage the purchasing, pricing and the Brewers Authentics inventory, including game used and autographed product, including purchasing, pricing and maintaining inventory integrity
  • Assist with operational responsibilities at Spring Training in Phoenix Arizona

 The ideal candidate is required to have at least three years of store management experience and sports retail purchasing is preferred. Bachelor’s Degree with Business Management or Sports Management is preferred. The ideal candidate should also have:

  • Ability to motivate and manage staff of all levels
  • Strong organizational and time management skills; able to direct the activities of staff and proactively plan ahead
  • Ability to problem solve and think outside the box; React to issues in a constructive manner
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced math skills; proficient in MS Excel and retail POS/Inventory systems
  • Previous cash handling experience required
  • Prior experience working with point of sale (POS) system required
