Account Manager (North Central/ Cleveland)

GuidePoint Security is a rapidly growing, privately-held cybersecurity reseller and advisory firm serving enterprise and government clients. The Account Manager will partner with an Account Executive to support the full sales lifecycle, drive customer retention and growth, manage renewals and upsell opportunities, and act as a liaison between customers, vendors and internal teams.

Skills

  • Proven success in inside sales or account management
  • Direct experience in cybersecurity products or services
  • Proficiency with Salesforce and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong attention to detail and follow-through
  • Ability to multitask and work effectively within a team
  • Relationship-building and vendor management skills
  • Flexible work schedule and occasional travel availability

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the dedicated Account Manager supporting a specified Account Executive and their accounts
  • Respond to customer inquiries promptly and drive issues to resolution
  • Act as liaison between customers, vendors and internal GuidePoint resources
  • Develop and retain product, vendor and industry knowledge relevant to accounts
  • Build and maintain relationships with key vendors and customers
  • Leverage vendor resources to bring additional value to customers
  • Increase touchpoints and proactive engagement with the AE’s customer base
  • Manage open opportunities and identify whitespace within existing accounts
  • Represent the AE at customer meetings as needed
  • Support closing renewals, upsells and net-new sales with AE guidance
  • Proactively manage upcoming renewals and identify upsell opportunities
  • Collaborate on targeted marketing communications and follow-up
  • Drive sales of GuidePoint professional services across assigned accounts
  • Assist AE with forecast management and internal strategic reporting
  • Use Salesforce to track opportunities, generate quotes and manage renewals

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Equivalent work experience in sales or cybersecurity accepted
