We are seeking a Electrical System Engineer to join our team supporting the Uranium Processing Facility! This position is full-time and will be based out of Oak Ridge, Tennessee.
Responsibilities
Provide electrical-related field and construction support to the Uranium Processing Facility.
Perform electrical inspections.
Complete electrical punch lists.
Participate in Construction to CSU turnover walkdowns for assign areas of responsibility.
Liaise with the Field Engineer as required to support electrical component/system turnover.
Perform walkdowns to validate that the system configuration is in accordance with the design.
Requirements
Education & Years of Experience – Bachelor’s Degree and 3+ years of relevant experience or a High School Diploma and 9+ years of relevant experience.
Citizenship – To be considered, you must be a United States (U.S.) citizen due to the federal nature of the work.
Clearance – To be considered, you must be able to obtain and maintain a government issued clearance, if needed.
Must have knowledge of electrical systems and field engineering activities.
Must be familiar with electrical codes, standards, and construction drawings.
Must understand quality control and safety procedures.
Must have experience with material management, quantity takeoffs, and system turnover coordination.
Must have coordination and communication skills to work with various teams and stakeholders.
Must be physically able to work in various field conditions.
Desired Skills
Experience with DOE, DOD, and/or commercial nuclear construction projects is preferred.
About the Site
The Uranium Processing Facility (UPF) is a construction project at the Y-12 National Security Complex in Oak Ridge, Tennessee that is intended to modernize and replace aging facilities for uranium operations. Once complete, UPF will support the nation's nuclear weapons stockpile, naval reactors, and defense nuclear nonproliferation while ensuring the long-term safety, security, and viability of enriched uranium capabilities in the United States.
