Job Description
JOB DESCRIPTION:
The Senior Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) Analyst plays a key role in driving the consolidation of budgets and forecasts for Water BU Finance. This position is responsible for developing repeatable reporting and analysis processes, collaborating with various functional leaders to identify cost opportunities and risk, and ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting.
Position location: Deerfield, IL - Hybrid (On-site Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday)
RESPONSIBLIITIES:
What you will be doing
- Lead and assist in the preparation, consolidation, and review of annual budgets and recurring forecasts for Water BU Finance, utilizing financial modeling, time-series analysis, and graphic presentation of financial data.
- Develop and coordinate reporting and analysis processes for consolidating budgets and monthly forecasts for Water BU Finance.
- Lead monthly and quarterly variance analysis of Water BU performance against budget, forecast, and prior year.
- Prepare and deliver accurate, timely, and insightful financial reports for Water BU leadership.
- Communicate financial results and forecasts to Water BU budget owners in a clear and actionable manner.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, automation, and harmonization to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of FP&A activities.
- Lead ad hoc reporting or analysis in support of special projects.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or related field required.
- 5+ years of experience in finance, accounting, or related field required. 7+ years of experience preferred.
- Strong organizational, communication, and analytical skills.
- Previous experience with financial modeling and proficiency with spreadsheet programs and financial modeling development.
- Previous experience with Oracle SmartView and SAP GUI (Graphical User Interface).
Additional Information
Fortune Brands believes in fair and equitable pay. A reasonable estimate of the base salary range for this role is Hiring Pay Range: $70,000 USD - $110,000 USD. Please note that actual salaries may vary within the range, or be above or below the range, based on factors including, but not limited to, education, training, experience, professional achievement, business need, and location. In addition to base salary, employees will participate in either an annual bonus plan based on company and individual performance, or a role-based sales incentive plan.
