The Role

Flux Computing is hiring a Site Manager to launch and lead our Austin office—the engineering home of our ASIC team. You will spend your first two months embedded in London HQ to absorb how Flux works: our systems, our values, and our speed. Then you’ll return to Austin to build the office from the ground up, instill Flux’s culture locally, and ensure flawless execution as we scale.

We're in the office five days a week, moving fast, solving hard problems, and helping each other get better every day. This role is not just operational—it’s cultural. You’ll be responsible for making sure the Austin office feels like Flux: intense, high-performing, and tightly connected to London.

Responsibilities

• Establish and operate the Austin office: secure the workspace, create daily rituals, and ensure a smooth, high-performance environment for local teams.

• Act as cultural founder of the site—set the tone for in-person collaboration, pace of execution, and shared ambition.

• Maintain tight coordination with London HQ: run weekly syncs, drive alignment across ASIC milestones in partnership with the Technical Program Manager, and ensure nothing falls through the cracks.

• Partner with local technical leads to track progress, accelerate execution, and head off risks early.

• Own site-level executional hygiene: unblock issues fast, keep priorities clear, and make sure Austin operates with startup intensity.
  

Skills & Experience

• 4 + years of operating experience across early-stage startups—ideally across both technical and business functions.

• Demonstrated ability to build and scale operational systems from scratch in a high-velocity environment.

• Outstanding communicator—clear, concise, and proactive in person and in writing to drive strong communication across teams and time zones.

• Systems thinker with ruthless execution instincts: can design the right process, and drive it to completion.

• Deep alignment with Flux’s in-office culture: five days a week, working hard, side-by-side with teammates to move fast in the biggest market in technology.

Frequent travel is expected between our Austin and London offices.
