Join the Exploratorium as a Temporary Financial Analyst, where you will provide financial guidance and analysis to support museum operations and senior management decisions.
Responsibilities: Prepare and analyze financial data for budgets and forecasts, create financial models, produce reports, assist departments in tracking performance, and manage special projects.
Skills: Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis, advanced Excel and Microsoft Office skills, and excellent communication abilities.
Qualifications: BA/BS in finance or related field and 3-5 years of experience in financial analysis, with a preference for experience in non-profit organizations and familiarity with Workday Adaptive Planning.
Location: This position is hybrid, based in San Francisco, CA, with an expected average of three days in the office.
Compensation: $90300 - $92800 / Annually
SUMMARY
The Financial Analyst is a key partner in achieving the Exploratorium’s mission and vision by providing financial guidance, support, and analysis to senior management and multiple departments within the organization. This position’s role is to be a strong detail-oriented individual contributor who understands museum operations and clearly communicates key findings to stakeholders across the organization. The Financial Analyst brings their interest in both details and big picture concepts to communicate financial performance compared to budget, short-term and long-term business performance in their areas of responsibility, and other financial analysis as needed. This position reports to the Director of Financial Planning & Analysis.
