The Director of Business Development and Product Manager will be responsible for driving the growth and expansion of our closed loop issuing business. This role involves developing and executing strategic business plans, identifying new business opportunities, and driving revenue growth. Product management responsibilities include defining key new features of the Conductor platform and ensuring successful implementation of requirements. Oversee improvements to epayconductor.com, drive market awareness and evangelize and educate internally in epay globally as well as to the external market.
· Develop and implement business development strategies to drive growth in the closed loop issuing sector.
· Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building a profitable pipeline of net-new programs and migration opportunities for existing programs.
· Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including clients, partners, and industry leaders. Attend and represent epay at industry trade shows.
· Lead the development of proposals and presentations for new business opportunities.
· Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the successful execution of business development initiatives.
· Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify opportunities and threats.
· Provide regular reports and updates to senior management on business development activities and progress.
· Define key features of the Conductor platform and build a roadmap for future functionality.
· Evangelize the product across the organization and work with local regions to educate them on how it works
· Work closely with the sales team to gather customer feedback and identify new feature requirements
· Liaise with the development team to ensure features are progressing and are properly prioritized
· Write business requirements for new features and ensure they are accurately reflected as functional requirements
· Provide final user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure developed features match business requirements.
· Act as a subject matter expert (SME) for the sales team, helping to answer RFPs and attend QBRs with customers to gather feedback
· Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure feedback from the sales team is relayed to product development
· Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Marketing, or a related field.
· Minimum of 8 years of experience in business development, sales, or account management, with a focus on closed loop issuing or a related industry.
· Strong understanding of electronic payments, gift card processing platforms, and loyalty card programs.
· Proven track record of successfully developing and executing business development strategies.
· Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
· Willingness to travel as required.
