Who Are YouThe Pricing & Sales Analyst plays a critical role in shaping strategic pricing, supporting sales operations, and driving data-backed business decisions within a leading manufacturer of distribution transformers. This role combines pricing analytics, market intelligence, and operational support to enhance quoting performance, streamline the RFP/RFQ process, and prepare the business for key industry initiatives like DOE2029 efficiency compliance.

 

The ideal candidate has a strong analytical mindset, experience with pricing and demand planning, and is comfortable navigating complex datasets to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks in a manufacturing environment.

 

**This position is remote in the following states: FL, GA, IL, KS, NC, NE, SD, TN, TX, WI, WY

Responsibilities

 

What Will You Do

  • Analyze industry trends, competitor pricing, and customer behavior to develop strategic pricing recommendations.
  • Conduct win/loss analysis on quotes and bids to identify trends, inform pricing strategies, and improve hit rates.
  • Support the RFP/RFQ process by providing detailed pricing analytics, historical data insights, and competitive benchmarks.
  • Track and report on performance metrics for key initiatives, including compliance efforts related to DOE2029 efficiency standards and other regulatory or market-driven updates.
  • Collaborate with Sales and Operations teams to align pricing models with business objectives and market conditions.
  • Provide analytical support for demand forecasting and inventory optimization, helping to balance production and customer demand.
  • Perform margin, profitability, and cost analyses to support commercial decision-making.
  • Develop, maintain, and enhance pricing tools, quoting systems, and dashboards for improved visibility and decision support.
  • Recommend pricing adjustments and inventory strategies based on data-driven insights and business needs.
  • Automate reporting processes and build scalable analytical models to improve decision-making efficiency.

Qualifications

 

What Will You Need

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in pricing analysis, demand planning, or a similar role, preferably within a manufacturing or distribution sector.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes and ERP/CRM systems
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing effective pricing and inventory strategies primarily based off data analytics.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, capable of conveying data insights to non-technical audiences.
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skillset with experience in Power BI dashboard development. Writing querying SQL and Power Query experience is a plus.
  • Experience in developing and managing dashboards, reports, and analytical models.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Results-driven with a positive, proactive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Knowledge of the distribution transformer industry and/or manufacturing is a plus.
