Skills
- Deep knowledge of PBM operations, specialty pharmacy and large employer pharmacy benefit environments
- Advanced Excel, PowerPoint and Word for financial and clinical analysis
- Experience leading RFP processes and reviewing vendor contracts
- Strong negotiation skills and vendor management experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication and executive presentation skills
- Ability to translate clinical programs into cost-effective benefit strategies
- Analytical mindset with experience identifying cost savings, waste and FWA
- Willingness to travel up to 25%
Responsibilities
- Serve as primary consultant and lead for strategic client engagements, building multi-level relationships with executives and pharmacy stakeholders
- Develop and implement customized pharmacy benefit strategies and clinical programs (PA, formulary, utilization management)
- Lead vendor strategy including RFP creation, vendor selection, contract negotiation and ongoing vendor management
- Track and measure vendor contract performance and operational/financial KPIs; identify opportunities for savings and FWA
- Use analytical tools to identify trends, cost savings and program improvements and present recommendations to clients
- Coordinate internal PSG subject-matter experts and oversee account implementation and escalation/resolution processes
- Drive business development and expansion within existing clients; represent PSG at conferences and industry forums
- Maintain client documentation, renewal strategy, scope of services and appropriate fee structures
Education
- Bachelor's degree required (pharmacy-related degree preferred)
- PharmD or RPh preferred
- MBA preferred
