Business Strategist - Consultant (Remote - US)

This role is designed for a highly experienced retail ecommerce professional who can combine strategic thinking, analytical expertise, and technical know-how to deliver measurable business impact. You will partner with senior executives to understand their goals, develop data-driven strategies, and influence outcomes that maximize revenue, retention, and product adoption. The position requires translating complex data into actionable insights and scaling strategies across clients to unlock growth opportunities. You will work in a collaborative, fast-paced environment, supporting a distributed team while occasionally traveling to client sites. This is a contract position with the potential for extension based on performance.

Accountabilities

• Develop and implement platform-centric strategies that align with client objectives and drive measurable results.
• Collaborate with internal teams and clients to communicate strategies, ensure adoption, and track performance metrics.
• Analyze marketing and ecommerce data to identify opportunities, trends, and insights that inform decision-making.
• Assist Account Managers in preparing business reviews, highlighting areas for growth, and recommending actionable strategies.
• Present findings and strategic recommendations to senior executives, demonstrating the value and ROI of campaigns.
• Conduct independent research and exploration of data to uncover hidden patterns, weaknesses, and opportunities.
• Contribute to scaling successful strategies across the client base, improving revenue and product adoption.

• 10+ years of experience in retail ecommerce, including direct engagement with executives on lifecycle marketing through channels such as email, SMS, website personalization, display retargeting, social, and OTT apps.
• Strong executive presence with proven ability to influence senior stakeholders and drive adoption of product-led strategies.
• Advanced analytical skills, including fluency with marketing data, key ecommerce metrics, and relevant programming languages or tools.
• Exceptional strategic thinking and creativity, with the ability to translate insights into actionable business solutions.
• Deep product knowledge and ability to identify innovative use cases that enhance client outcomes.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills, capable of delivering complex concepts to diverse audiences.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Economics, or a related analytical field.
• Comfortable supporting a distributed, remote team with occasional short-notice travel (up to 25%).

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in multi-channel personalization platforms and data-driven marketing strategy.
• Ability to document and scale strategic recommendations across multiple clients.
