- Advanced liability coverage interpretation and analysis
- Experience with complex commercial auto, general liability and professional lines claims
- Litigation management and mediation experience
- Client and stakeholder communication and coordination
- Strong written claims documentation and reporting skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple complex matters independently
- Familiarity with third-party administration and self-insured program structures
Responsibilities
- Adjust and manage a caseload of moderate-to-complex commercial and public entity liability claims
- Conduct detailed coverage investigations and advanced analysis of Commercial P&C, Excess policies and MOCs
- Evaluate liability, damages and monetary exposures and develop resolution strategies
- Coordinate with self-insured clients, carriers, reinsurers, and SIR program administrators
- Oversee litigation management, counsel selection, and defense strategy
- Participate in claim reviews, mediations, site inspections and client meetings
- Prepare clear written recommendations, reserves and settlement analyses
- Maintain timely communication and documentation to meet client service expectations
Education
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent industry experience
- Adjuster license (Indiana preferred) or ability to obtain required state licenses
