Job Description

About the Team: The Network Data Science team, as part of our CONNECT team, is a diverse collection of professionals who work with a variety of organizational roles ranging from software engineering teams whose software integrates with analytics services, network architects and engineers, to service delivery engineers who provide support for our product, testers, operational stakeholders with all manner of information needs, and executives who rely on data for data-based decision making.

About The Role: The position in our CONNECT Group is focused on innovating, defining, prioritizing, designing, implementing, and launching new and enhanced architecture components for the Comcast access and core networks.

What You'll Do:

  • Lead product management of our federated architecture principles across multiple products like RF troubleshooting, capacity management, to name a few.

  • Be accountable for executing across the product lifecycle – product discovery, definition, delivery, and optimization.

  • Own roadmap, end-to-end ideation, product requirements, and delivery of features and technologies for next generation of network experiences.

  • Utilize a data-driven approach to your products, defining KPIs upfront and continually optimizing the Network experiences and recommendation engine against those KPIs.

  • Manage and prioritize the design backlog, working with product and engineering to ensure design activity.

  • Partner with various functions including engineering, operations, architecture, divisions, and employee workforce to successfully position products and features for successful end use.

  • Interact with executive management and decision-makers to build relationships and influence decisions.

  • Using agile methodologies, oversee the engineering team’s product development efforts, ensuring the final product is functional, operational, and meets requirements.

  • Foster a culture of experimentation in the Network (access and core) space and drive experiment velocity to support continuous learning and optimization of the experience.

Skills & Experience We're Looking For:

  • Understanding of access (DOCSIS/HFC/Optical) and core networks.

  • Exceptional product management and technology development tactics from both a business and technical perspective.

  • 5-7 years’ experience working in broadband telecommunications.

  • End-to-End (E2E) ownership of Product scope, deliverables, schedule, risks, and collaborators/key contributors, taking accountability for the success and quality of deliverables.

  • Comfortable in being uncomfortable; programs move quickly, decisions change, plans adapt to changes, uncertainty is all around. A successful candidate will embrace the uncertainty and drive it to certainty as the project and product evolves.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant science or engineering disciplines.

This position is ineligible for visa sponsorship.  To be considered for this role, you must be legally authorized to work in the United States and not require sponsorship for employment now or in the future.
