The EEO Office is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented College Aide to provide administrative support. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a student interested in civil rights, human resources, public administration, or law to gain practical experience in EEO compliance and workplace diversity initiatives. The College Aide will work directly with the EEO Officer and must demonstrate discretion, professionalism, and a strong commitment to confidentiality.
This role is ideal for students pursuing degrees in public administration, human resources, law, sociology, or related fields with a strong interest in civil rights, equity, and workplace compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
-Perform clerical and administrative tasks, including filing and scanning
-Coordinate, draft, and publish the quarterly EEO newsletter, highlighting key updates, events, and diversity and inclusion initiatives for internal distribution
-Support research efforts on EEO laws, policies, and best practices
-Assist with planning and implementation of numerous diversity and inclusion events and other initiatives within the EEO office.
-Provide logistical support for training, and EEO outreach events
-Assist in maintaining and regularly updating the EEO SharePoint sites at DYCD Home to ensure accurate and accessible information for staff. Such as posting announcements on recognizing awareness months to promote diversity and inclusion in the workplace. Update any relevant EEO forms directed by the EEO Officer, posting or announcement for a significant awareness day and post quarterly EEO Newsletters.
-Maintain confidentiality of sensitive information in accordance with legal and ethical standards
-Perform other duties as assigned by the EEO Officer

Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school.
For Assignment Level II (Information Technology):
Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or closely related field, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study.
For Assignment Level III (Information Technology Fellow):
Matriculation at an accredited college or graduate school. Employment is conditioned upon continuance as a student in a college or graduate school with a specific course of study in information technology, computer science, management information systems, data processing, or other area relevant to the information technology project(s) assigned, including or supplemented by 9 semester credits in an acceptable course of study. Appointments to this Assignment Level will be made by the Technology Steering Committee through the Department of Information Technology and Telecommunications.
SPECIAL NOTE
Maximum tenure for all Assignment Levels in the title of College Aide is 6 years. No student shall be employed more than half-time in any week in which classes in which the student is enrolled are in session. Students may be employed full-time during their vacation periods.
