About the Role

We’re looking for a Digital Marketing Manager to execute across Citizen’s key marketing channels – social, app store optimization, and creator partnerships. This is a hands-on content and channel execution role: you’ll write copy, create assets, engage communities, and optimize campaigns that keep our marketing engine running.

The Digital Marketing Manager is critical to sustaining the programs that drive visibility and installs while enabling the marketing lead to focus on broader strategy. You’ll report to the Senior Marketing Manager and work closely with designers, product team to deliver on monthly goals.

You are ready to jump in and manage the vision, creation and distribution of social media assets, execute lifecycle campaigns, and supercharge growth. This is your place to be creative, implement new ideas, and make the world a safer place.

Key Responsibilities

  • Social Media Execution – Publish daily posts, write copy, and engage on Citizen’s social channels (TikTok, Instagram, X, YouTube).

  • Content Creation – Develop quick-turn assets (short-form video, graphics, captions) using Figma, Canva, or similar tools.

  • Copywriting – Write clear, compelling messaging for social, emails, and influencer partnerships.

  • App Store Optimization (ASO) – Execute keyword updates, creative refreshes, and testing to improve app visibility.

  • Creator & Influencer Partnerships – Help manage and grow our network of content creators and local city influencers.

  • Cross-Channel Support – Assist with email marketing campaigns and new market launches as needed.

  • Performance Tracking – Monitor metrics, track KPIs, and share insights to inform improvements.

Qualifications & Skills

Required:

  • 2-3 years of hands-on digital marketing experience across social, app store, or lifecycle channels

  • Highly organized and detail-oriented; able to juggle multiple projects in a fast-paced environment

  • Deeply fluent in social media trends and platform best practices (especially Instagram, TikTok, and X)

  • Skilled in Figma and Canva; Adobe Suite and video editing tools are a strong plus

  • Comfortable working with data; experience with social analytics platforms and Google Sheets

  • An exceptional writer and editor with strong instincts for storytelling, tone, timing, and trends

  • A true team player with a self-starter mindset and strong sense of accountability

  • Bonus: experience working in a mission-driven or news-adjacent environment

Preferred (Nice-to-Have):

  • Background in growth or performance marketing (even at a support level)

  • Basic understanding of lifecycle marketing

  • Prior work in mission-driven or real-time content environments (news, safety, tech)

Salary Range

This role offers a base salary of $80,000-$100,000 per year, plus equity.
