Job Developer, Level 2

The Center for Employment Opportunities (CEO) is a national nonprofit providing employment services to people recently released from incarceration. CEO seeks a Level 2 Job Developer to expand employer partnerships, place participants into stable work, and support participants through job readiness, application, and placement processes. The ideal candidate combines relationship-building and sales-oriented outreach with a commitment to social justice and person-centered coaching.

Skills

  • Experience in workforce development, recruitment, sales, or account management
  • Strong networking, prospecting, and relationship-building skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Resilience and persistence in meeting targets and addressing setbacks
  • Ability to use data and market research to guide outreach and decision-making
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (Salesforce) and basic data entry/reporting
  • Caseload management and participant coaching skills
  • Comfort working in-person in Manhattan and conducting employer site visits

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement a strategic employer engagement and placement plan to meet placement metrics
  • Research, prospect, cold-call, and conduct face-to-face outreach to cultivate new employer partnerships
  • Maintain and deepen relationships with existing employer partners and serve as liaison between employers, participants, and justice partners
  • Screen, match, and coach participants for job opportunities; customize resumes and support hiring navigation
  • Manage an active caseload and achieve Level 2 placement goals (6–10 monthly placements)
  • Document all participant and employer contacts, activities, and outcomes in Salesforce
  • Analyze employer demand and usage data to refine outreach strategy and improve placement outcomes
  • Perform other administrative and program tasks as assigned

Education

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred but not required; CEO values diverse educational backgrounds
  • Relevant training or certificates in workforce development, case management, or related fields are a plus
