Cape is building a privacy-first telco that serves national security and enterprise customers. As our first Go To Market (GTM) and G&A Recruiter, your mission is to identify, engage, and hire exceptional revenue-generating and operational talent that propels Cape’s next phase of growth. You’ll be a full-cycle recruiter who partners closely with hiring managers, builds diverse and high-quality pipelines from scratch, and owns the candidate experience from first touch to close. You’ll combine agency-honed sourcing rigor with startup agility to move quickly, tell Cape’s story with conviction, and raise the bar on every hire. This role is hybrid with 3 days a week minimum in office out of our NYC or DC office and reports to our Head of Talent, Rosalind Rattan.
Build outbound pipelines using LinkedIn Recruiter and Gem, other sourcing tools, and referrals, generating healthy pipeline every week
Maintain clean, up-to-date documentation in Ashby, with consistent notes, stage tracking, and pipeline visibility for hiring teams
Improve funnel conversion at phone screen and hiring manager interview stages by refining outreach messaging and structured screen questions
Lead weekly pipeline reviews and provide hiring managers with data-driven insights to adjust strategy, increase urgency, or address blockers
Serve as the strategic hiring partner proactively owning pipeline health
Partner with Recruiting Leadership to ensure comp alignment, leveling accuracy, and competitive offer execution
Proven Full-Cycle Execution: Demonstrated success managing end-to-end recruiting for GTM and G&A roles in both agency and in-house environments
Sourcing Expertise: Skilled in building diverse, targeted top-of-funnel pipelines using outbound sourcing, boolean search, referral campaigns, and talent mapping strategies
Structured Evaluation: Committed to competency-based hiring; experienced in writing rubrics, running structured interviews, and aligning hiring teams around clear signals
Strong Hiring Manager Partnership: Adept at running intake sessions, setting expectations, influencing stakeholders, and proactively updating pipeline status with clarity and rigor
Offer & Close Execution: Confident leading candidates through closing processes—including comp conversations, counter strategies, and pre-boarding coordination
Operational Rigor: Organized and detail-oriented with a habit of documenting process, tracking funnel metrics, and using data to optimize time-to-fill and candidate quality
Mission-Driven Communication: Able to articulate Cape’s value proposition clearly to both mission-aligned and commercially motivated candidates
