At candidate.fyi, we’re building the AI execution layer for hiring. Recruiting teams today spend countless hours on manual coordination, outdated tools, and broken processes. Candidates often feel like an afterthought in the process-and we believe that’s broken, too.
Our platform automates the hardest parts of interview coordination while also elevating the candidate experience - giving every candidate clarity, transparency, and a smoother journey. That’s why some of the world’s most innovative brands - like Intercom, GoPro, Discord, and Automattic trust candidate.fyi to modernize their global interviewing operations.
We’re reimagining the infrastructure that powers how companies hire at scale and how candidates experience it - and we’d love for you to be a part of it.
We’re looking for a Founding Product / UX Builder to join our early team and work directly with our founder. This is a unique opportunity to be at the ground floor of shaping our product and candidate experience.
You’ll wear many hats: supporting product workflows, crafting clear specs, using AI tools daily to design and prototype interfaces, and ensuring quality across everything we ship. This role blends product thinking, design intuition, and detail orientation-ideal for someone early in their career (1–3 years) who wants to grow fast in a startup environment.
As our first product hire, you’ll have outsized ownership and the chance to carve your own path-whether into product management, design, or leadership as we scale.

Strong product sense and curiosity about how great products are built.
Daily practitioner of AI tools (ChatGPT, Claude, AI design/prototyping tools).
A strong eye for design and usability - you think about how products should look and feel.
Experience with design tools like Figma is a plus, but not required.
Detail-oriented with a natural ability to spot gaps, inconsistencies, and edge cases.
A technical mindset (comfortable with tools, workflows, APIs-coding not required).
