The Boeing CompanyBoeing Commercial Airplanes (BCA) is looking for a Senior Facilities Multi Services Manager (Level L) to support the team onsite in Portland, Oregon.
A manager in this role will develop cross-functional partnerships to achieve team and program goals while developing a work environment that promotes accountability, trust, teamwork, quality and safety. This role will lead a team of 10+ people, primarily located in Portland, Oregon.
Position Responsibilities:
Manages employee and first-level management activities within the facilities occupation including facilities planning, analysis, project administration, property administration, facilities provisioning, engineering, construction and Plant & Equipment maintenance
Develops and executes integrated departmental plans, policies and procedures and provides input on departmental business and technical strategies, goals, objectives
Acquires resources for department activities, provides technical management of suppliers and leads process improvements
Develops and maintains relationships and partnerships with customers, stakeholders, peers, business partners and direct reports
Provides oversight and approval of technical approaches, products and processes
Participates in equipment make/buy decisions
Participates in source selection; provides technical oversight and integrates supplier activities
Manages, develops and motivates employees and first-level managers
Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):
5+ years of experience as a manager of people
5+ years of experience leading project teams to meet project objectives and deliverables
5+ years of experience in Facilities Project Management or Construction Management
Willing and able to work any shift (primarily first shift)
Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field
Current PMP (Project Management Professional) certification
Ability to help develop, mentor, and coach less experienced staff
Experience leading teams
Experience utilizing strategic decision making to drive business results
Experience using LEAN Manufacturing and/or Continuous Improvement practices and tools in the workplace
Experience demonstrating creative, critical thinking, and troubleshooting skills
