Who we are:
Gartner Research Board (GRB) equips the senior most technology executives in the world’s largest organizations with the tools and insights they need to turn today’s biggest challenges into tomorrow’s best outcomes. For more than 50 years, GRB has curated a trusted community in which our clients – Global CIOs, Divisional CIOs, and heads of technology functions from $10B+ companies – can test their thinking, gain a comprehensive view of the future, and accelerate their impact.
GRB’s Consult the Board service is one of the pillars of this client community. Program Managers on the Consult the Board team help clients collaborate with and learn from one another by delivering services that enable clients to benchmark themselves against their peers, surface proven practices that support and accelerate decisions, and make connections with peers who can help them move their businesses forward.
Initiating new research: At the core of the Consult the Board service is a survey platform that enables clients to pose questions to their peers in the GRB community. Consult the Board Program Managers work with clients and subject matter experts on clients’ teams to understand the problem the client faces and the outcomes they aim to achieve and develop a set of questions that will deliver the answers they need
Creating peer exchanges: Consult the Board Program Managers create and facilitate opportunities for clients to engage directly with one another, such as one-to-one conversations, “roundtables” of members who share a common interest or challenge, and “burning issues” sessions where groups of clients share challenges and get feedback from one another in real time. Program Managers’ roles in these opportunities can include identifying participants, facilitating sessions, taking notes, and/or creating deliverables capturing outcomes.
Curating research: Consult the Board Program Managers review Gartner’s and the GRB’s research archives to identify material that answers clients’ questions. They synthesize research from several different sources into targeted packages that can be easily consumed by C-level executives.
Building community: Consult the Board Program Managers collaborate with the Executive Community Leaders who oversee each community and GRB’s research team to develop research and services that respond to community members’ emerging needs. Program Managers, in particular, develop benchmarking tools and a proactive survey agenda to ensure communities consistently have the data and comparisons clients need to help them make the right decisions for their businesses.
Promoting engagement: Each Program Manager is responsible for delivering the Consult the Board service to a subset of GRB’s client community and ensuring these clients engage with the community. Program Managers track and report on client engagement with the Consult the Board service, support outreach campaigns to drive engagement with the service, and escalate opportunities and challenges to GRB service delivery partners. Consult the Board Program Managers are also responsible for building relationships with senior individuals on clients’ teams who serve as the central interface for clients’ engagement with the Consult the Board service.
