Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct a team of trenchless estimators, including assigning workloads and monitoring performance
- Establish, implement, and enforce standardized estimating processes and best practices
- Mentor and develop estimating staff through training and coaching
- Prepare, review, and approve complex trenchless project estimates and proposals
- Coordinate with operations, project managers, and clients to clarify scope and assumptions
- Maintain estimating templates, databases, and cost models
- Ensure estimates reflect accurate material, labor, equipment, and subcontractor costs
- Apply knowledge of multiple contract delivery methods in bid strategy
- Promote safety-first culture and compliance throughout estimating activities
- Drive continuous improvement in estimating accuracy and turnaround
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field highly preferred
- Relevant construction estimating experience for those without a degree
