Your role at Vantive

The Vantive Analyst, Contract Development, is responsible for developing and completing contract redlines for direct agreements related to US commercial and service contracts. The Analyst also supports response documents for RFPs and/or RFIs. Additionally, the Analyst provides analytical and document management support to the Commercial Operations functions and collaborates with various teams including Sales, Marketing, Finance, Technical Service, and Commercial Legal.

What you’ll be doing

  • Supports and collaborates with Sales and other internal stakeholders to draft, review, negotiate, and finalize redlined contracts and related documents.

  • Reviews and negotiates terms and conditions and other related business forms and correspondence.

  • Leads or supports RFP/RFI responses, including terms and conditions and vendor/supplier questionnaires.

  • Creates and maintains metrics and dashboards to track contract development progress.

  • Identifies issues requiring escalation and seeks legal and/or business decisions on contract negotiation issues to resolve and move negotiated deals to a satisfactory conclusion.

  • Collaborates and works with all levels across the organization, including Legal, Sales, and internal and external business associates.

  • Participates in process innovation to identify procedural gaps, drive improvements, efficiencies, achieve results, and enhance customer relationships.

  • Provides contract development support to Marketing and other adjacent teams in conjunction with product and program launches.

  • Contributes to and/or creates standard operating procedures and maintains those procedures.

What you’ll bring

  • A Bachelor’ degree and 4 years of experience in related field is required.

  • Direct experience drafting, redlining, and negotiating contracts is a strong plus.

  • Paralegal experience is a plus.

  • Demonstrated ability to apply Vantive’s Culture Levers to daily work, problem-solving, and special projects.

  • Experience in redlining commercial sales agreements.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, interpersonal skills, and the ability to interact across all levels of the organization.

  • Must be a self-starter and able to work independently, while seeking guidance when necessary.

  • Excellent organizational skills, focused on customer satisfaction, and able to provide timely and accurate results.

  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and manage time efficiently.

  • Attention to detail is essential.

  • Proficient in using Excel, Word, and Contract Management software.

  • Must demonstrate the ability to recommend improvement in processes and develop ideas into action plans.

We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. At Vantive, we are committed to equitable pay for all employees, and we strive to be more transparent with our pay practices. The estimated base salary for this position is $80,000-100,000 annually. The estimated range is meant to reflect an anticipated salary range for the position. We may pay more or less than of the anticipated range based upon market data and other factors, all of which are subject to change. Individual pay is based on upon location, skills and expertise, experience, and other relevant factors. This position may also be eligible for discretionary bonuses, and/or long-term incentive.
