Campus Registrar - Washington State University Vancouver

At a glance

Washington State University Vancouver is seeking a Campus Registrar to serve as a strategic leader for student experience, service innovation, and cross-campus collaboration. In addition to overseeing registration and academic records, this role leads the Cougar Center (one-stop enrollment services) and Veterans Affairs educational benefits, shaping how 3,500+ students engage with WSU systems and support structures. Reporting to the Associate Vice Chancellor for Enrollment, the Registrar plays a visible role in enrollment strategy and institutional planning - offering the opportunity to modernize services and make a lasting impact at a growing public university in the Pacific Northwest.

Description: What you'll be doing

Another Source’s client, Washington State University Vancouver (WSUV), is recruiting a Campus Registrar to join their Enrollment team in Vancouver, WA. You'll have the opportunity to lead a cross-functional team spanning registrar, veterans' affairs, and one-stop student services while modernizing enrollment operations and improving the student experience.

Here’s a little about Washington State University Vancouver and the position they are recruiting for:

WSU Vancouver is the second-largest campus in the WSU system, serving more than 3,500 students on a stunning 351-acre site with views of Mount Hood and Mount St. Helens. Known for its close-knit, supportive community, WSUV combines the resources of a major research university with the feel of a smaller campus where collaboration and student success are at the center of everything. The Campus Registrar is a visible campus leader, shaping enrollment services, student records, and commencement experiences while ensuring students, staff, and faculty have the support they need to thrive.

Summary of the Role

At Washington State University Vancouver, the Campus Registrar is a strategic leader focused on student experience, service innovation, and cross-campus collaboration. Unlike registrar positions centered on catalog maintenance or curriculum compliance, this role emphasizes student-facing engagement, retention-focused services, and operational leadership.

You’ll oversee registration and academic records but also lead the Cougar Center (one-stop enrollment services) and Veterans Affairs educational benefits, shaping how students interact with WSU systems and support structures. You'll have a visible seat at the table, contributing to enrollment strategy and institutional planning with room to leave your fingerprints on long-term solutions.

What you will be doing:

60% Leadership

  • Develop and support a vision for the campus registrar’s office that effectively utilizes technology while ensuring high-quality service.
  • Represent the Registrar’s Office on campus committees and WSU system-wide committees.
  • Facilitate all registration, add/drop, enrollment changes, and cancellations; guide students, staff, and faculty on procedures.
  • Oversee integrity, accuracy, and security of student records.
  • Direct academic course and room scheduling for all classes.
  • Manage commencement programming, FERPA compliance, transcript processing, academic catalog publication, and related web content.
  • Certify and verify enrollment and degrees.
  • Supervise the iTech Prep program, Border Bill program, Petitions Committee, Veterans Affairs Certifying Official, Veterans Center, and Cougar Center.
  • Oversee production of internal FTE reports to track enrollment and inform strategy.

20% Administrative Services

  • Manage all registrar office operations, including hiring, training, supervision, evaluation, and professional development of staff.
  • Oversee services related to veterans' affairs educational benefits.
  • Lead strategy and training for Cougar Center staff.
  • Respond to requests about PeopleSoft use and liaise with Pullman registrar’s office regarding system issues.

15% Recruitment and Retention

  • Support recruitment and retention by developing, implementing, and evaluating admission, registration, orientation, and advising processes.
  • Liaise with Air Force and Army ROTC programs at the University of Portland to facilitate enrollment for WSU Vancouver students.
  • Present registration workshops at orientations for students, families, staff, and faculty.
  • Create tools, documents, and communication plans to assist new and current students in navigating university systems.
