Skills
- 5+ years in technical program management or engineering lead/manager roles.
- Strong technical aptitude to understand software designs, SDLC, trade-offs and risks.
- Proven experience managing software development projects across the full SDLC.
- Ability to use data and metrics to inform decisions and measure program health.
- Comfort operating in low-structure organizations with minimal direction.
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Secret security clearance.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end delivery of maritime software products from UI through core infrastructure for mission-critical operations.
- Define scope, clarify requirements, and create realistic roadmaps with engineering and product leads.
- Serve as central communication hub for stakeholders, reporting progress, risks, and dependencies to all levels including executives.
- Facilitate technical and architectural discussions, evaluate trade-offs, and ensure sound engineering decisions.
- Identify and mitigate technical and logistical risks; own mitigation plans and follow-through.
- Continuously improve development and delivery processes to increase predictability and efficiency.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent hands-on experience (preferred).
