Responsibilities
- Develop and validate physics-based radiometric and sensor performance models for EO/IR systems
- Define system architectures and perform detailed trade studies and requirement derivation
- Design, plan, and execute laboratory, ground, and flight testing to characterize system performance
- Model atmospheric and environmental effects to predict real-world sensor performance
- Validate analytical models against laboratory and field data and refine requirements
- Lead and mentor small cross-functional engineering teams from concept through delivery
- Coordinate technical requirements and deliverables with hardware, software, mission teams, and external stakeholders
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, or a related technical field required
- Master’s or PhD in a related field preferred
