Responsibilities
- Own and manage mechanical casting commodities from NPI to full production across business lines
- Evaluate supplier capabilities, facilities, workforce, and shop layout for Approved Supplier List inclusion
- Lead new tooling and production line bring-ups at supplier sites to meet performance, quality, and demand
- Drive capacity expansion and production ramp readiness with suppliers
- Establish and lead SPC and process control reviews at supplier locations
- Partner with SQE to troubleshoot root cause issues and close corrective/preventive actions at suppliers
- Identify and implement part/process improvements to reduce cost, risk, defects, and cycle time
- Act as a cross-functional force multiplier with supply chain, quality, manufacturing, and design teams
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field (required)
- Bachelor’s in mechanical or metallurgical/materials engineering (preferred)
