- Technical expertise in mechanical casting processes and metallurgy
- Proficiency with CAD, GD&T, and IPC standards
- Experience implementing SPC and production ramp strategies
- Strong communication, negotiation, and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Ability and willingness to travel frequently to supplier sites (≥50%)
Responsibilities
- Own mechanical casting commodity lifecycle from NPI through full production and capacity ramp
- Qualify and vet suppliers' manufacturing capabilities, facilities, and readiness for inclusion in Approved Supplier List
- Manage new production tooling, line development, and bring-up activities at supplier sites
- Define and drive process controls and SPC reviews at supplier locations
- Partner with Supplier Quality Engineers to ensure supplier adherence to part quality criteria and close corrective actions
- Identify and implement product/process improvements to reduce cost, defects, and lead time
- Support root cause investigations and lead closure of corrective/preventative actions at suppliers
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field (required)
- Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or metallurgical/materials engineering (preferred)
