As a DEM (DRAM and Emerging Memory) Product Qual Engineer Intern you will be responsible for developing qualification and reliability data for leading edge Memory Devices. In this role you will utilize and develop tools, generate scripts, or write code to analyze qualification failures, reliability data and communicate results and corrective actions to various engineering groups. Our goal is to offer hands-on and meaningful engineering projects that allows interns to gain valuable experience with memory products while adding impact to Micron’s business. Our intern program helps prepare engineers for future roles and offer an extraordinary experience that supplements your academic experience!
Responsibilities and Tasks:
In this role your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
Identify issues utilizing knowledge of DRAM architecture (structure and function), semiconductor processes, test methodologies, software, etc.
Device characterization for improved operation and testability
Generate scripts for data analysis using Perl, C++, Python, HTML, CGI, or Java
Build new Reliability test methodologies
Figure out failure modes or device degradation types
Comprehend new DRAM processes/technologies for product reliability issues
Develop product reliability tests to assess new DRAM failure mechanisms
Develop new test or reliability code
Minimum Qualifications:
Must be pursuing a minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Course work in VLSI, CMOS Circuits, Semiconductor Process or related fields
The ability to work in a diverse and fast-paced team environment.
Cannot graduate before September 2026
Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to manage time and priorities effectively.
Good communication skills.
Self-motivation and enthusiasm.
Familiarity with Perl, C/C++, Python or HTML is a plus
