Individual will be responsible for carrying out field engineering duties during a radio system upgrade cycle.He/she will be responsible for upgrading/deploying various devices which include network gear, windows based devices, virtual machines and some Motorola proprietary devices. Along with above duties, individual will be a customer facing technical resource through the upgrade effort. He/She will be primarily traveling to southeast states’ customer locations to carry out their duty.
System Engineer responsibilities:
Final Design and implementation of the radio network including infrastructure, subscribers and mobile backhaul
Lead customer presentations
System staging
Complete system documentation
Live system upgrades
Ensuring the integrity of the architecture/design
50-60% travel is required for upgrade projects.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience/knowledge in radio communication systems, radio propagation, RF, wireless or broadband/LTE highly desirable
Experience, good understanding, and working knowledge of IP networking, network design methodologies & troubleshooting (Ethernet, TCP/IP, L2/L3, MPLS) highly desirable
Experience directly working with end-user customers is essential
Excellent communications skills and the ability to present complex topics to nontechnical audiences is essential
Target Base Salary Range: $75,000 - $150,000 USD

Required Skills:
High School diploma, Technical Certificate, Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, IT, Cybersecurity or Networking and 3+ years of Engineering or Wireless Communications experience.
Must be a US Citizen or US Permanent Resident with the ability to obtain a background clearance as required by government customers.
