- Strong TCO and cost-modeling skills with data-driven decision making
- Supplier and contract manufacturer management, including NPI to production

- Risk management and supply continuity planning
- Willingness to travel up to 50% and be onsite in Costa Mesa, CA
- Eligibility to obtain and maintain U.S. TS clearance
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute commodity strategies for cables, harnesses, connectors, and capacitors focused on cost reduction, quality improvement, and supply chain resilience
- Lead RFIs/RFQs/RFPs and strategic sourcing processes; perform detailed quote and cost-breakdown analysis and TCO assessments
- Own relationships with Contract Manufacturers (CMs) including continuity of supply, risk management, cost negotiation, and NPI-to-MP execution
- Partner with Engineering to influence design for manufacturability, technical specs, and product requirements
- Negotiate commercial agreements (pricing, delivery, payment, warranty, service, capacity, lead-times)
- Manage supplier performance metrics (delivery, quality, cost, innovation) and act as primary escalation for the commodity
- Collaborate cross-functionally to support prototypes, meet build milestones, and advance new supplier/product introductions
- Provide regular technology and commodity reviews to executive staff and management
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, engineering, or related technical field (required)
- Bachelor's degree in electrical or mechanical engineering (preferred)
