Skills
- 5+ years building data-intensive software systems
- Strong experience in database design and performance optimization
- Proficiency in Python and SQL
- Experience with cloud infrastructure and distributed systems
- Knowledge of data modeling concepts and best practices
- Experience implementing security controls for sensitive data
- Ability to own technical projects from conception to delivery
- Excellent communication and cross-functional collaboration skills
- Eligible to obtain and maintain an active U.S. Secret security clearance
Responsibilities
- Design and implement scalable database schemas and data models to support core operational needs
- Build high-performance data processing pipelines to transform raw data for multiple use cases
- Architect end-to-end data solutions from databases through service layers to front-end integrations
- Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to translate complex business requirements into technical designs
- Contribute to the technical roadmap and make architecture decisions for data systems
- Implement and enforce best practices for data integrity, security, and performance
- Develop domain expertise (Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, People, Sustainment) to drive model design
- Act as a force multiplier for the Data & Analytics team and prioritize velocity and engineering excellence
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
- Education and training sufficient to support 5+ years of professional software engineering experience
