Skills
- Product strategy and roadmap development for hardware-software systems
- Systems-level technical fluency in computer vision, AI/ML, autonomy, networking, and embedded systems
- Experience with rugged, operational sensing systems (EO/IR, sensor fusion)
- Cross-functional leadership with engineering, manufacturing, and finance
- Familiarity with DoD procurement, government customers, and defense acquisition processes
Responsibilities
- Define long-term product strategy, roadmaps, and product requirements for deployed optical systems
- Create Product Requirements Documents and related artifacts to guide engineering, production, and fielding
- Partner with Engineering and Technical Program Management to ensure designs meet operational, scalability, and manufacturability goals
- Establish product goals, success metrics, and track performance throughout development and deployment
- Perform business case, ROI, and pricing analyses to guide investment and commercialization decisions
- Work with Finance and business leadership to meet financial targets and optimize margins via design and sourcing decisions
- Engage customers, business development, and field teams to gather requirements, validate needs, and iterate on solutions
- Conduct market and competitive analysis and identify emerging technologies to enhance capabilities
Education
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Robotics, Computer Science, Business, or related technical field
