Responsibilities
- Define system architectures through trade studies and system-level analyses
- Develop and validate physics-based sensor performance models and derive requirements
- Lead prototype sensor development in the lab and own design-of-experiment activities
- Plan and execute laboratory, ground, and flight testing and validate models against data
- Model atmospheric and environmental effects for realistic performance prediction
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and mission teams and communicate with stakeholders
- Lead small interdisciplinary engineering teams from concept through delivery
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Optical Engineering, Physics, Applied Physics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
- Advanced degree (MS/PhD) in a related discipline preferred
