Skills
- Experience solving EMC and safety compliance issues and applying EMC design practices
- Proficiency with EMC, RF and safety test equipment (e.g., spectrum analyzers, hipot testers)
- Knowledge of IEC 62368 and product safety standards
- Experience coordinating regulatory certification and working with test labs
- Project planning and schedule management skills
- Strong technical and non-technical communication skills
Responsibilities
- Manage agency testing and certification/recertification for all electronics products
- Pre-screen new and existing designs for safety and EMC readiness in collaboration with design engineers
- Define and maintain product safety, EMC and RF standards
- Coordinate testing schedules and certification activities with labs and internal teams
- Work with project managers to define and keep hardware project tasks on schedule
- Troubleshoot and devise technical solutions for safety, EMC and compliance issues during development and production
- Prepare engineering change notices and documentation as needed
- Support the Safety and Compliance Team to obtain global agency certifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred
- Or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
