Skills
- Eligible to obtain and maintain U.S. Top Secret security clearance
- Strong background in orbital mechanics and space environment
- Space mission MS&A experience including constellation and trajectory design
- Spacecraft & payload physics-based trade-space analysis (propulsion, power, thermal, RADAR/SATCOM/EOIR)
- Proficiency with physics-math scripting (e.g., MATLAB, Simulink, Python + NumPy/SciPy)
- Outstanding written and visual communication skills for complex data
- Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary engineering teams
Responsibilities
- Design mission trajectories and constellation architectures for a variety of space missions
- Develop, validate, and run physics-based models and simulations to support mission trade studies
- Perform spacecraft and payload MS&A for propulsion, power, thermal, and sensor trade spaces
- Translate stakeholder needs into rigorous analytic approaches and clear, data-driven recommendations
- Collaborate with Systems Engineering, GNC, Propulsion, Comm, Flight Software, and Mission Ops teams
- Produce visual presentations and analytical products to support decision making and stakeholder buy-in
- Leverage internal M&S capabilities and AI-enabled tools to provide advantage over competitors
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Astrodynamics, Physics, or closely related engineering field (required)
