Responsibilities
- Own the manufacturing value chain for assigned products, covering technical and commercial operations to ensure scalable production.
- Evaluate, plan, and prioritize supply chain, production, and test optimizations to meet business production goals.
- Develop and communicate business cases for vertical integration or strategic supply partnerships.
- Continuously evaluate make-vs-buy decisions and break systems into subassemblies and process flows to maximize TCO and reliability.
- Collaborate with contract manufacturers to develop repeatable processes for quick-turn development and at-scale production/testing.
- Be on site with operations partners to manage technical and commercial needs, resolve production issues, and improve capacity.
- Work hands-on with technicians and engineers building prototypes and production hardware; support hardware integration and testing.
- Create manufacturing documentation and reduce complexity via part commonality and supplier/component rationalization.
Education
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical, electrical, systems engineering, math, or a hard science (required)
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a U.S. Secret security clearance
