HR Employment Office Aide (Academic Year 2025-2026)

DEPARTMENT INFORMATION: 
  • Please provide information about the goals/services your area provides. Provides Human Resources support and functions to all UW Employees, including faculty, staff, and non-benefited workers.
  • What type of clients are served in your department (education majors, all students, faculty, staff)? All campus customers to include Faculty, Staff and Administration as well as customers outside the UW Community.
  • Does your department/area provide community services with the goal to improve the quality of life for community residents or to solve a particular problem related to those residents’ needs? No

JOB PURPOSE:   

To provide data entry support and customer service for the UW Human Resources Department. 

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Working the front desk, answering a multi-line phone, routing phone calls appropriately, completing the federal Form I-9 for newly hired and rehired employees.  Additional duties include filing, shredding, customer service, imaging documents, data entry and copying along with any other office duties that our HR Employment team may need.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

Education:  High School Diploma or GED. Business/HR majors preferred but not required
Experience:  Some customer service experience
Other requirements:Must be eligible, have received and accepted work study award through Student Financial Aid for the applicable semester and/or academic year.

  • Demonstrated high level of attention to detail
  • Demonstrated ability to alphabetize and file
  • High level of customer service
  • Experience with forms
  • Experience routing a high volume of phone calls
  • Experience with customer service in a fast-paced environment
  • Experience working in an office
