A Lead Navigator contributes to AHF by  coordinating and delivering high-impact, community-based HIV and STI testing and outreach services. This role ensures that CALOR’s prevention efforts are visible, responsive, and logistically sound. From organizing outreach schedules, transporting supplies and staff, to fostering relationships with tabling and testing partners, the Lead Navigator supports the daily operations that make community engagement possible. By helping drive HIV/STI initiatives and supporting the team’s outreach presence, they strengthen CALOR’s role in reducing health disparities and expanding access to care across priority communities.

A Lead Navigator enhances the reputation of AHF by  representing the organization with professionalism, cultural humility, and community trust. By ensuring that outreach events are well-organized, inclusive, and impactful, they help build positive relationships with local partners and demonstrate AHF’s commitment to meeting people where they are. AHF has a collaborative organizational structure where staff are accountable to multiple leaders. 

The Lead Navigator will work as a part of a close knit team to support the daily needs of the Prevention Department by ensuring outreach and testing efforts run smoothly and efficiently. Collaborating with CHWs, program staff, and leadership, they assist in mobilizing staff and resources, strengthening site readiness, and problem-solving in real time. Their role helps build a supportive, solutions-driven environment where team members can effectively reach communities and deliver life-saving services with compassion and coordination.
