General Job Summary The Project Leader is responsible for the merchandising of store remodeling and resetting projects. There will be approximately 20 stores that will be either remodeled or reset annually. The Project Leader will lead the teams in 4-to-7-week projects, approximately 7 or 8 projects per year. Paid training will be provided via the Do It With Me (DIWM) Program at Ace Corporate Headquarters. Following the training the Project Leader will work with an existing Project Leader until training has been completed and signed off on.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
• Recruit and lead project teams.
• Organize, train, and lead a team of associates in setting up new stores fixtures, systems, displays, and first merchandise order.
• Work closely with the Project Manager and Construction Manager to ensure the successful completion and implementation of the project & plans related to the project.
• Effectively engage and communicate with both internal and external stakeholders throughout the entire project life cycle.
• Identify any lead-time problems, constraints, setbacks, or risks within each project and proactively seek out solutions.
• Ensure that all documents and materials are properly maintained throughout each project.
• Manage a project team and monitor project performance against planning.
• Handle the logistics and travel arrangements for you and your team as necessary when traveling out of your home market, consisting of flights, hotel stays, and transportation.
• Lead other special projects as assigned.

Minimum Skills, Requirements and Qualifications
• 5+ years’ experience managing others
• 5+ years’ experience working in a retail setting
• GM/AM retail experience a plus
• Proficient in MS Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Outlook)
• Must have excellent leadership capabilities, communication written and verbal, attention to detail and follow up
• Ability to teach, train and provide support to your team
• Communicate clearly and concisely with your team, and leadership; keep others informed and take appropriate partnerships where necessary
• Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and effectively manage time
• Ability to handle stressful situations and work in a fast-paced environment
• Standing, walking, lifting (up to 50lbs) and climbing ladders or use of lifts
• Travel may be required depending on the location of the store
Compensation Details
$65000 - $80000
