The lifecycle team plays a critical role in growing our business. We work collaboratively with departments across the organization to ideate, develop, and implement world-class integrated customer journeys. We’re responsible for bringing in new business, nurturing them throughout their entire lifecycle and turning them into lifelong 1Password advocates.

As the Lifecycle Marketing Manager, you will develop and optimize sophisticated multi-channel programs across the full customer journey. Through strategic automation and personalization, you’ll accelerate prospect acquisition, drive customer engagement, increase expansion and cross-sell initiatives, and maximize retention. Working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing Analytics, Marketing Ops, Creative, and segment specific marketing stakeholders, you will deliver data-driven campaigns that scale our global impact and drive revenue growth.

What You Can Expect

  • Act as a strategic thought partner in defining lifecycle marketing strategy, contributing to go-to-market planning, experimentation frameworks, and customer journey mapping.

  • Continuously refine segmentation strategies to deliver personalized communications based on customer behavior, needs, and lifecycle stage.

  • Develop and execute high-impact lifecycle marketing strategies to drive engagement and revenue growth across the full end-to-end prospect journey

  • Partner with Product and Customer Success to incorporate user feedback, usage data, and product adoption insights into lifecycle strategies.

  • Drive upsell, cross-sell, and customer education programs that support product adoption and account expansion.

  • Manage end-to-end lifecycle campaigns, including segmentation, targeting, scheduling, deployment, and optimization across multiple channels including email, in-app messaging, push notifications, chat, and more.

  • Drive strategic briefs and production of content and messaging tailored to customer segments and lifecycle stages, from acquisition through retention.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (sales, marketing, product, account management) to define segment strategies, lifecycle goals, and orchestrate integrated campaigns with clear feedback loops and reporting frameworks.

  • Stay current with lifecycle marketing trends, best practices, and emerging technologies to continuously enhance program effectiveness.

  • Leverage marketing automation, CRM, and analytics platforms to track campaign effectiveness, analyze lifecycle metrics, and optimize performance across the customer journey.

  • Partner with MarTech & Ops teams to develop sophisticated automation workflows and journey orchestration in marketing automation platforms.

  • Partner with Marketing analytics to standardize lifecycle marketing dashboards and reporting frameworks to track customer progression through key stages.

  • Deliver actionable insights to stakeholders on lifecycle program performance, including conversion metrics, engagement trends, and optimization opportunities.

  • Apply data-driven experimentation across lifecycle stages to continuously improve customer acquisition, engagement, and retention metrics.

  • Manage and leverage our chatbot, Drift, to serve content that will educate users, and help them discover features and value of 1Password and drive them to conversion.

    • Drive revenue growth through data-driven, multi-channel lifecycle programs spanning acquisition, engagement, and retention.

    • Manage end-to-end lifecycle development and execution, proactively identifying opportunities and solutions across the customer journey.

  • Operational Excellence

    • Orchestrate sophisticated automation and experimentation across channels (email, chat, webinars) to optimize customer conversion and revenue.

    • Serve as a strategic partner for cross-functional initiatives with Sales, Product, Marketing, and segment teams to deliver high-impact campaigns and cross-sell opportunities.

  • Operational Excellence

    • Partner with MarTech & Ops to architect advanced marketing automation workflows and analytics frameworks.

    • Champion continuous optimization through A/B testing and data-driven experimentation across all touchpoints.

What We’re Looking for:

  • 4+ years of B2B lifecycle marketing experience.

  • 2+ years of experience working with a conversational chatbot provider (Drift is recommended)

  • Proven success in working with cross-functional teams, such as Analytics, Product and Sales, to create and execute against shared goals.

  • A passion for understanding the customer, their needs, and how we can best address them.

  • Strong project management capabilities and campaign planning expertise.

  • Self-motivated professional who excels in fast-paced, complex environments.

  • Innovation-driven mindset with commitment to experimentation and industry best practices.

  • Highly quantitative and drives decisions using data.

  • Impeccable eye for detail and critical thinker who can develop creative solutions.

  • Proficient in G-Suite, CRM software, marketing automation or email marketing software (Salesforce, Marketo are a plus).

  • Ambitious self-starter who is not afraid to be hands-on and execute when needed.

  • Strong conversion-oriented copywriting skills.

  • Naturally curious by nature and driven to test new technologies and AI to enhance our lifecycle programs.

  • BA/BS degree.

USA-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $99,000 USD and $135,000 USD plus immediate participation in 1Password's benefits program (health, dental, 401k and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.

Canada-based roles only: The annual base salary for this role is between $97,000 CAD and $131,000 CAD plus immediate participation in 1Password’s generous benefits program (health, dental, RRSP and many others), utilization of our generous paid time off, an equity grant and, where applicable, participation in our incentive programs.
