Role:

We are hiring a Youtube Manager for Alex Hormozi.

The YouTube Manager for Team Alex is a strategic and creative leader of the Mozi Media team that serves as the connective tissue between Alex’s business priorities and how they’re translated to long form videos.

You're not just managing a YouTube channel. You're building the #1 educational platform online for entrepreneurs and setting a bar for content so high others can only chase. You’ll own the strategy, the story, and the systems behind uploads that scales Alex’s thinking to hundreds of millions of impressions a year on YouTube.

This isn't your typical content role. You're a multifaceted creative, fluent in ideation, production planning, on-set directing, compelling copywriting, post-production oversight, and YouTube analytics.

You'll lead the packaging and conceptual direction of our videos, distill Alex’s key business insights into engaging content, and ensure continuous improvement through rigorous analysis and feedback loops. You’ll also maintain strategic alignment with key business initiatives like book launches, offers, and brand perception goals.

You'll work hand-in-hand with Alex and our Director of Media to shape channel strategy, brand identity, content production, and distribution.

Responsibilities:

  1. Team Leadership and YouTube Infrastructure

    • Manage editors, thumbnail designers, and pre-production on Team Alex

    • Maintain relevant YouTube scorecard metrics (pull retention, view velocity, follower growth) and present weekly insights to Alex and Team Alex

    • Develop scalable, documented systems for scripting, packaging, and production handoffs

    • Grow and develop direct reports and members of the YouTube Team

    • Explore and test AI tools to accelerate pre- and post-production workflows. Identify opportunities to prototype AI-driven content testing, retention analysis, and scripting support.

    • Coordinate with marketing, shorts teams, and external stakeholders for distribution and promotion

  2. YouTube Strategy and Channel Architecture

    • Define and lead YouTube channel growth strategy with input from Alex

    • Balance evergreen thought leadership with timely reactions to market trends and other experimental formats.

    • Ensure every video not only educates but reinforces the authority, credibility, and mission of Acquisition.com. Maintain the brand’s distinct tone: authoritative, no-fluff, and founder-first.

    • Lead the visual identity of packaging and run consistent AB testing for packaging on back catalogue

    • Keep relevant YouTube scorecard metrics (pull retention, view velocity, follower growth) and present weekly insights to Alex and Team Alex

  3. Pre-Production

    • Lead ideation and outlier research sessions

    • Provide feedback and insight to YouTube team members on packaging briefs and video outline

    • Maintain a four-to-six-week buffer of fully approved topics (outlines, rough thumbnail concepts and title options)

  4. Production

    • Draft run-of-show documents and help with facilitating shoots—prompting follow-up questions, pacing segments, and capturing live notes for editors to shorten post production time

    • Collaborate with videographer team for previsualization of props, intros, and visual setups for videos

    • Own the coordination of our interactive formats (ie Hormozi Hotline and Cash Cows) including guest scouting, production prep, and production leadership on site.

  5. Post-Production

    • Ownership and management over post production timelines and upload calendar

    • Conduct regular retention reviews to improve audience engagement

    • Work with Senior Editor to provide retention notes on edits + final approval for uploads

    • Create brand guidelines, SOPS, and artifacts to continuously make post production seamless and cohesive

Results:

  • Accelerated subscriber growth

  • % of videos that outperform channel baselines on impressions and subscriber growth

  • Lift in subscriber-to-view ratios for videos

  • Higher average views per video and a steeper 24/48-hour velocity curve.

  • Regular documentation of content experiments and AB tests

  • Improved usage of AI and other tools to increase team leverage in production

  • Maintain quantity of uploads (3x+ a week) while maintaining quality and brand alignment

  • Alex sentiment on brand and growth (excitement about filming, video topics, performance and brand discussions)

Requirements:

  • Deep understanding of the YouTube landscape - concepts, thumbnails, titles, and retention editing

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Strong analytical fundamentals and ability to work with data

  • 2+ years of relevant experience in YouTube channel development, bonus points if for a large educational channel

  • Proficiency with editing notes tools (like frame.io)

  • Proficiency with project management tools like Clickup and Asana

  • Proficiency with GSuite

  • Knowledge of editing and photoshop considered an asset but not essential

Communication Expectations:

  • We use Slack – it is the go to for any communications

  • We value over-communication (more context the better)

  • We value speed in communication (be prompt in responding or provide context as to why you may be slow to respond)

  • Weekly Creative Team Alex Meetings

  • Weekly meetings with Director of Media

  • Weekly meetings with vendors

Location:

  • Las Vegas, Nevada (onsite)

Hours:

  • Mon - Fri 8am - 6pm PT with flexibility to work weekends when needed.

Compensation:

  • $90,000 - $110,000 annually

Relocation Assistance:

  • We know that great talent comes from all over, so we're here to help you make the move. For this role, we offer:

  • $5,000–$7,000 in relocation support + 1 month of temporary housing.
