Yondr creates phone-free spaces for artists, educators, organizations and individuals around the world. Our mission is to create spaces where genuine connection, focus, and creativity can flourish in the absence of technology.

Yondr’s business segments span numerous industries, primarily across education and live events. Yondr supports schools through cell phone-free programs. Our education programs facilitate the successful implementation of phone-free school environments by providing administrators and teachers with education, training, and development resources, along with all necessary equipment. In addition, Yondr supports top artists in music and comedy by creating phone-free shows, allowing performers and audience members to enjoy live performances without the distraction of phones.

Yondr is looking for a Chief of Staff to support the CEO acting as an advisor, strategist, and executor of critical company-wide projects. This role functions as a gatekeeper to the CEO, managing access, aligning priorities, and ensuring the CEO’s time is focused on the highest-impact areas. The role requires excellent project management skills, a keen understanding of business operations, and the ability to operate in a fast-paced, evolving startup environment.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Executive Prioritization: Act as the primary point of contact between the CEO and internal/external stakeholders. Filter and prioritize requests for the CEO’s time and attention, balancing accessibility with strategic focus. Drive accountability for action items arising from executive leadership meetings.

  • Leadership Proxy: Represent the CEO in internal and external meetings when needed, articulating key messages and ensuring follow-up. Serve as a thought partner to the CEO, offering candid insights and feedback when necessary.

  • Strategic Planning & Execution: Collaborate with executives & senior leadership to develop and implement business strategies and operational plans.

  • Operational Alignment & Project Management: Ensure alignment across executive team initiatives by leading and coordinating cross-functional projects and tracking progress against strategic goals. Facilitate the smooth flow of information between the CEO’s office and other departments.

  • Confidentiality & Discretion: Handle sensitive information with the utmost discretion, professionalism, and judgment. Maintain trust-based relationships across all levels of the organization to ensure open, transparent communication.

  • Team Leadership & Development: Lead and develop administrative team to support operational excellence. Ensure efficient support cross-functionally while mentoring team members and aligning their efforts with broader business goals.

  • Culture and Communication: Uphold and promote the company's values, ensuring effective internal communication and fostering a positive work culture. Utilize strong emotional intelligence skills to build trust quickly and foster collaboration across teams, even in ambiguous or high-pressure situations.

ABOUT YOU

  • You’re a highly organized strategic thinker with a strong understanding of business operating principles.

  • You thrive in fast-paced, ambiguous environments and are skilled at connecting the dots between vision and execution.

  • You take proactive ownership of workstreams with an eye for detail.

  • You excel at driving cross-functional initiatives, managing changing priorities, and ensuring the executive team is focused on what matters most.

  • You're comfortable influencing without authority and have experience working within multiple verticals across an organization.

  • Your ability to communicate clearly, solve complex problems, and build relationships across all levels of the organization makes you an invaluable partner in shaping and scaling our impact.

  • You're deeply motivated by our mission—using your skills to help move the company forward in ways that are not only strategic, but meaningful.

  • Opportunity to collaborate closely with executives and leaders from multiple departments, building a deep understanding of the business at every level.

  • A high level of ownership, trust, and autonomy in a role that evolves as the company grows.

  • A chance to make a meaningful impact, helping scale the company in smart, intentional ways.

  • A mission-driven team that thrives on collaboration, curiosity and creativity.
