Strategic Director, Southeast Region

Concerned Veterans for America (CVA) believes veterans are a powerful force for driving solutions to America’s most pressing challenges. The Strategic Director leads CVA’s efforts across the Southeast, overseeing grassroots organizing, political outreach, staff development, and managing key relationships with legislators. They serve as CVA’s spokesperson, partnering with Americans for Prosperity (AFP) and others to advance a free and open society—especially by engaging veteran communities.

How You’ll Contribute:
  • Lead the vision and strategy for Georgia and the Southeast region
  • Empower and develop regional staff to maximize their potential and grow others
  • Align teams to our community vision and steward talent and resources
  • Represent CVA and advance our brand across the Southeast
  • Partner to plan and execute public policy events that build community and drive grassroots impact
  • Build strong relationships across CVA teams, coalition partners, and local leaders
  • Engage with political, business, media, and community stakeholders
  • Advocate through lobbying and testimony at the legislature
  • Apply sound economic thinking to align efforts with community priorities


What You’ll Bring:
  • Strong grasp of state and federal public policy
  • Strategic thinker with a track record of executing plans and leading high-performing teams
  • Experience in grassroots organizing, coalition building, and policy advocacy
  • Skilled communicator who can simplify complex ideas for diverse audiences
  • Proven ability to develop talent, empower innovation, and build key relationships
  • Comfortable working in fast-paced, remote or in-person environments
  • Experience managing budgets and driving toward detailed goals
  • Willingness to travel up to 50%
  • You have a valid driver’s license 
  • Familiarity with veteran communities in Georgia and the Southeast
  • Integrity, humility, and an entrepreneurial attitude
  • Enthusiasm to contribute to Stand Together's vision and principled approach to solving problems, and a commitment to stewarding our culture, which champions values including transformation and innovation, entrepreneurialism, humility, and respect.

  • Develop and empower regional staff to lead and grow

  • Represent CVA and grow our presence and partnerships
  • Lead public policy events and grassroots efforts in collaboration with partners
  • Build trusted relationships with community, political, and business leaders
  • Advocate for policy change through direct engagement and testimony
  • Apply economic thinking to prioritize high-impact initiatives
