Job Description

Do you love being the connector behind the scenes that helps business complexities work seamlessly?

If you’re someone who thrives at the intersection of relationships, operations, and data, this role may feel like a natural fit. You enjoy keeping things moving, spotting opportunities others might miss, and making sure no detail slips through the cracks, especially when the stakes (and accounts) are big.

In this role, you’ll be a key player in supporting national sales and retention efforts, working closely with internal partners across Wellmark and externally with Blue Plans across the country. You’ll help facilitate operational processes that directly impact growth, pricing, and long-term client relationships, and you’ll build trusted partnerships that help national accounts succeed.

Qualifications

Required:
• Bachelor's degree in related field or direct and applicable work experience.
• Previous internal or external experience performing a similar role is required.
• General health insurance knowledge of products and/or services.
• Demonstrated ability to accomplish tasks and processes accurately and completely; detail oriented.
• Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to multitask, prioritize and time management skills.
• Identifies opportunities and takes action to build strategic relationships between work unit, division or department and other Blue Plans.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and in a team setting with individuals having diverse professional backgrounds.


Preferred:
• Health insurance - products, benefit design, funding arrangements.

Additional Information

a. Facilitate, support and ultimately own Host national account sales and retention by timely acknowledgement of Plan profile paper work.
b. Review notifications received from other Blue Plan for eligible custom pricing arrangements and analyze opportunities for reciprocal arrangements.
c. Provide notification to other Blue plans of updates and changes to plan and pricing. arrangements.
d. Complete and maintain the monthly preparation for Home renewals, including running system reports and continued learning of department process.
e. Monitor and release Network Alerts to stakeholders as needed.
f. Assist and support report execution for sales analytic tools from BCBS Association and Consortium Health Plans.
g. Monitor and coordinate assignments of requests submitted to the National Account Interplan Mailbox.
h. Develop and maintain positive relationships with national account/IPP contacts at Blue Plans to enable favorable negotiations and resolution of IPP issues.
i. Other duties as assigned.
