Responsibilities
- Manage on-site daily operations and serve as primary operational contact for drivers and dispatchers
- Prioritize and resolve real-time operational issues, including creative scheduling for 24/7 coverage
- Lead, mentor, and develop dispatchers and shift managers to drive performance and engagement
- Oversee in-person operations 4-5 days per week, with occasional early mornings or evenings as business needs dictate
- Build and maintain relationships with unions, driver partners, customers, community leaders, and local organizations
- Coordinate closely with Via senior management and external partners to meet service goals
- Define, track, and report on team KPIs and weekly performance metrics
- Analyze operational data and prepare reports to optimize processes, resource allocation, and customer satisfaction
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and company policies and regulations
Education
- Bachelor's degree required
- Relevant certifications or training in transit/operations are a plus
