Responsibilities
- Assist veterinarians and technicians with examinations, treatments, and procedures in the Internal Medicine department
- Handle and restrain patients safely and compassionately
- Prepare and maintain accurate medical records and Avimark entries
- Communicate professionally and empathetically with clients and referring veterinarians
- Monitor hospitalized patients and report changes in condition
- Collect samples, assist with diagnostics, and prepare lab submissions
- Support scheduling, case coordination, and workflow to ensure timely patient care
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of exam and treatment areas
Education
- High school diploma or GED required
- Veterinary assistant training or certificate preferred
