Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day operations of the nursing team, including workflow and collaboration
- Supervise nurses, veterinary technicians, and assistants; handle scheduling and payroll budgeting
- Recruit, onboard, and support ongoing development and performance of nursing staff
- Collaborate with the Medical Director and hospital leadership to set and maintain nursing standards
- Implement VEG nursing policies, guidelines, and process improvements
- Ensure clinical supplies, tools, and license compliance for credentialed technicians
- Drive education, training, externships/internships, and continuing education opportunities
- Address patient care issues, interpersonal conflicts, and participate in leadership meetings
Education
- AS or BS in Veterinary Technology
- Credentialed veterinary technician (CVT, RVT, LVT, LVMT) in California
- Ongoing maintenance of required licenses and certifications
