Incident Manager

Veeam, a global leader in data resilience, is hiring an Incident Manager to support and improve incident handling across its SaaS platform. The role emphasizes clear communication, coordination, and documentation to ensure the right people are engaged, stakeholders are informed, and incident outcomes drive reliability improvements.

Skills

  • Proven experience managing incident communications in SaaS or cloud environments
  • Hands-on experience with modern incident management tools (Incident.io, Rootly, FireHydrant, or similar)
  • Experience driving blameless postmortems and tracking remediation actions
  • Comfortable working with incident metrics and presenting findings to leadership
  • Familiarity with SRE and DevOps practices and reliability frameworks
  • Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate incident communications across engineering, product, support, and leadership to ensure clear, consistent information flow
  • Ensure timely, accurate updates to internal teams, executives, and affected customers
  • Drive incident coordination and outcomes in both real-time and asynchronous contexts for distributed teams
  • Maintain incident timelines, roles, and action tracking without replacing technical ownership
  • Use and improve incident management tooling to streamline reporting, communications, and tracking
  • Facilitate blameless postmortems for high-impact incidents and ensure follow-up actions are owned and completed
  • Track incident trends and metrics to identify areas for response time, resolution time, and incident reduction improvements
  • Prepare and present incident reports and trend analyses to executive leadership

Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Relevant certifications or training in incident management, SRE, or related disciplines are a plus
