Incident Manager
Skills
- Proven experience managing incident communications in SaaS or cloud environments
- Hands-on experience with modern incident management tools (Incident.io, Rootly, FireHydrant, or similar)
- Experience driving blameless postmortems and tracking remediation actions
- Comfortable working with incident metrics and presenting findings to leadership
- Familiarity with SRE and DevOps practices and reliability frameworks
- Strong written and verbal communication and stakeholder management skills
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate incident communications across engineering, product, support, and leadership to ensure clear, consistent information flow
- Ensure timely, accurate updates to internal teams, executives, and affected customers
- Drive incident coordination and outcomes in both real-time and asynchronous contexts for distributed teams
- Maintain incident timelines, roles, and action tracking without replacing technical ownership
- Use and improve incident management tooling to streamline reporting, communications, and tracking
- Facilitate blameless postmortems for high-impact incidents and ensure follow-up actions are owned and completed
- Track incident trends and metrics to identify areas for response time, resolution time, and incident reduction improvements
- Prepare and present incident reports and trend analyses to executive leadership
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Relevant certifications or training in incident management, SRE, or related disciplines are a plus
