Job Details:

Purpose

This student position will provide administrative support to the French and Italian main office.

Work-Study Job Information:

  • Supervisor: French and Italian Administrative Associate
  • HRH 2.114
  • $15/hr

Responsibilities

  • Serve as first point of contact and greet visitors in the French and Italian front office.
  • Answer phones and emails, make copies, scan materials, distribute mail.
  • Assist with departmental communications including signage, flyers, social media posts, and newsletter content.
  • Provide support for departmental events.
  • Assist faculty and staff with data entry and office-support requests.
  • Daily opening and closing duties such as unlocking/locking classrooms and offices.
  • Consistent on-time arrival for shift and prompt communication regarding schedule changes.
  • 10 – 15 hours per week, at least 2 shifts per week.

Required Qualifications

  • Be awarded Federal Work-Study on the Work-Study Verification (WSV).
  • Meet Satisfactory Academic Progress Policy standards as set by the Office of Scholarships and Financial Aid.
  • Must be enrolled in appropriate credit hours as required by the student’s academic or non-academic title. Additional rules may apply in cases where stricter enrollment is required for Work-Study funds.
  • Punctual, and ability to work independently and in a team setting.

Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate.

Preferred Qualifications

  • At least one year of administrative experience or customer service-related experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Salary Range
$15.00 per hour
